James Mcintosh Patrick (RSA, ROI, ARE 1907-1998)

Landscape & portrait artist in oil & watercolour, etcher. Born 4/2/1907 in Dundee, son of an architect and originally trained as an architect. Studied at Glasgow School of Art under Griffenhagen (1924-8) and in Paris. Worked for Valentines Cards. Received Guthrie award in 1935. Exhibited at the Fine Art Society and represented in many public collections, including the Tate Gallery. Based in Dundee for many years and died 7/4/1998. Produced posters for LNER & BR.

Produced artwork for LNER Post-War, Scottish Region series.
