Freda Marston (RBA, ROI, RBC 1895-1949)

Painter & etcher of landscapes & figures. Born Hampstead 24/10/1895 (nee Clulow). Educated, Hampstead, London. Studied art at Regent St Polytechnic, in Italy and under Terrick Williams 1916-20. Married Reginald St Clair Marston in 1922. Represented in several public collections. She was the only woman artist commissioned by the railway for carriage prints. Lived Amberley, Sussex and later at Robertsbridge. Died 27/3/1949. Produced posters for LMS & BR.

Produced artwork for LNER Post-War series.
