LINCOLN, THE GLORY HOLE. ORIGINAL INK ARTWORK by DONALD WAXWELL, the Official artist to the Admiralty in World War I and writer & illustrator of many books and guides in the 1920s and 30s, particularly of the South East. Are rare opportunity to purchase artwork from the early 1930s which illustrated one of his books. His works at this time were used as carriage print illustrations for railway carriages by the Southern Railway in 1936. A full biography of the artist by Michael Ffinch has been published. Signed by the artist. Fine detailed ink study, unmounted. Artwork Size: 385 x 260mm. Good general condition for its age, with faint artist/printer's annotation line middle left.
