John Charles Moody (RI, RE, PSGA 1884-1962)

Painter & etcher of landscapes, figures & architechtural subjects. Born 21/6/1884 at Walton on Thames, Surrey. Studied art at London, Paris, Antwerp and Italy. Was President of Society of Sussex Artists 1954 and also President of the Society of Graphic Artists. Principal of Hornsey School of Arts & Crafts 1926-47. Lived London then Burpham, nr Arundel, Sussex. Produced posters for LNER & BR.

Produced artwork for LNER Pre-War series.
