James Fletcher Watson (RI, RBA 1913-2004)

Architect; painter in watercolour of landscapes & architectural subjects, author. Born 25/7/1913 at Coulsdon, Surrey. Educated Eastbourne College. Studied at RA School of Architecture where he won a silver medal for design in 1936. Received an Hon. mention at the Paris Salon. Mainly worked in Norfolk, Gloucestershire, Radnor, Brecon, Cumberland and Cotswolds. Wrote several popular books on watercolour painting. Represented in several public collections. Lived at Wymondham, Norfolk and at Windrush, Oxon. Died June 2004.

Produced artwork for LNER Post-War series.
