Frederick William Baldwin (SMA 1899-1980)

Pencil, pen & watercolour artist. Born 17/3/1899, son of William Baldwin, a builder. Self taught. Was born in Beccles and educated at the Sir John Leman School in the town. Draughtsman with 'Brook Marine', Lowestoft and lived at Beccles for many years before moving to Stoven, near Southwold, Suffolk. Accompanied Leonard Squirrell on many local sketching trips. Was a regular exhibitor at the RA. Produced artwork for railway leaflets and P&O menus.

Produced artwork for LNER Post-War series.
